YURI MEJAL
Yuri Mejal is an enthusiastic filmmaker who began his career in 2013 in pageants and modeling, eventually becoming the lead actor in Jurey Latiff's 'Tangisan Akinabalu' (aired on Netflix). In addition to being a passionate local band singer, he shares his work and thoughts across various platforms.
Yuri has been actively involved in significant films for local TV stations and cinemas, as well as producing and directing telemovies, commercial videos, and television travelogues. His directorial feature film debut, *KK Knockout*, is a romantic action-comedy that captures the cultural richness, traditions, and unique multiracial communities found in Sabah, Malaysia. Yuri believes that cinema is a powerful platform to showcase the beauty and humble voice of his home state. Additionally, he actively shares tips and insights about filmmaking, helping to inspire others in the industry.
