Hong Kong, 17–20 March 2025 – The Sabah Film and Visual Arts Association (SAFVA) is proud to be part of the prestigious Hong Kong International Film & TV Market (FILMART) 2025, alongside key industry players such as SCENIC (Sabah Creative Economy and Innovation Centre), FINAS, Iskandar Malaysia Studios, Skop Production, and many more.
This global platform brings together some of the biggest names in the content industry, and SAFVA is honoured to showcase Sabahan films and documentaries under the Malaysia Pavilion, highlighting the vibrant storytelling and cinematic potential of Borneo.
For SCENIC, this has been an eye-opening experience—witnessing the sheer scale of the event, understanding the revenue models, and realising the enormous potential for film extension through merchandising, co-productions, and regional investment.
Together, we continue to grow Sabah’s presence in the global creative industry.
